Vicky joined OpenSpace in March 2011 as Consultant Ecologist. She has a BSc. (Hons) in Wildlife Conservation from Liverpool John Moores University. Vicky specialises in bat ecology and has worked with exotic and domestic animals, as well as wild native species.
She is passionate about wildlife and as an active member of the Cumberland Bat Group and volunteer bat warden for Natural England is involved in local conservation work. Vicky is also a licensed bat carer having rescued many bats, as well as being a member of the British Hedgehog Preservation Society and has rehabilitated and released several hedgehogs!
When she is not going nocturnal Vicky likes long walks along the Solway beaches and time spent catching up with friends and family.
